DSAVIQ-PS2M - Avocent DSR KVM over IP Server Interface Module
The Avocent DSR Series Server Interface
Modules also referred to as KVM Terminators or Dongles
are used in conjunction with Avocents DSR series KVM over IP switches.
The Server interface module connects to the targeted servers keyboard,
video and mouse, then a CAT5 cable is connected to the
end of the Server Interface module and ran back to the KVM switch. Every
targeted server requires a Server Interface Modules.
The DSAVIQ Server Interface Module is one part of the DSR
or AutoView 2020/2030 KVM Switching System, designed to drastically reduce
cable bulk.
Choose either the USB2 or USB2(L)
options. Use your DSAVIQ Virtual Media Server
Interface Module/Dongle to convert keyboard, monitor and mouse
signals from a server through a single CAT 5 cable (up to 32.8 feet or
10 meters) to your switch.
The DSAVIQ Server Interface Module
draws its power from the server and has Keep Alive functionality that
will keep your server working properly with or without connectivity to
the DSR or AutoView 2020/2030 KVM Switches.
